About This Role
This is a front-line role at Palanquin, you will be the first voice our guests and partners hear. You will handle incoming enquiries, make outgoing calls to confirm bookings, and maintain our guest and booking data accurately.
We are looking for someone who is warm, well-spoken, and takes pride in the quality of her communication. Fluency in all three languages, English, Hindi, and Assamese, is essential, as our guests come from across India and from Assam itself.
What you will do:
- Respond to guest enquiries via phone and WhatsApp
- Follow up on bookings and confirm trip details
- Maintain accurate records of bookings, guests, and payments
- Coordinate between guests and drivers before trips
- Assist with basic data entry and reporting
What we are looking for:
- Fluency in English, Hindi, and Assamese, non-negotiable
- A warm, professional telephone manner
- Basic computer skills (WhatsApp, typing, spreadsheets)
- Reliability and punctuality
- An honest, positive attitude

This is not a job in the traditional sense. It is an opportunity for anyone, travel bloggers, tour operators, hotel concierges, frequent travellers, travel agents, or simply people who know Northeast India, to earn a commission by referring clients to Palanquin.
If someone you know is planning a trip to Guwahati, Tawang, Meghalaya, or Kaziranga, and you connect them with us, you earn a percentage of the booking value. No targets, no office, no fixed hours.
